MID CENTURY MODERN MURAL FOR YOUR APARTMENT’S CO-WORKING SPACE, MILTON KEYNES
Hired by Bristol interior design company, Simple Simon, Sophie worked up a bespoke mural design to fit in with the elegant, modern and stylish interiors of Your Apartment based in Milton Keynes. The mural is a decorative focal point for a co-working, social space, for those staying in one of the self service apartments which are also located in London too.
UPFEST / COR BAR AND RESTAURANT
Sophie Rae created this fun and energetic piece of street art for Upfest in Bristol for the 75 walls in 75 days project in 2021. Working with assistants this playful design transformed a corner of North Street in Bristol, in five days. Two levels of scaffolding helped Sophie reach all corners of this large exterior wall and wrap the design around onto the front of the building above COR bar and restaurant. Painted using brushes and masonry paint. This Upfest special was featured on Best of Bristol and Visit Bristol’s Instagram pages to a huge positive response.

COURTX PORTSMOUTH MURALS
Sophie Rae spent five days painting two large boards, about 6.5 x 2.5 meters each, on the exterior fences of CourtX tennis courts in Portsmouth. The boards are part of a changing arts program there, along a public path, near the sea front. The motifs take inspiration from the nearby gardens, but are beautifully balanced in her contemporary bold style.

BOTANICAL, ABSTRACT MURAL AT PWC OFFICES, BRISTOL
This mural brings some character and colour into an otherwise mundane office space in the heart of Bristol, near Temple Meads train station. Sophie has created a space that uplifts the mood of this corporate tech heavy space, with her contemporary and bold design. It provides an inspiring backdrop to the companies daily activities.
MODERN, ABSTRACT, BOTANICAL MURAL FOR LIEVITO BAKERY, CAFE, SHOP SOMERSET
Sophie Rae painted this mural on three interior walls for a new bakery premises near Castle Cary, Somerset. The mural sits in a space which holds a large communal table just off to the side of the bakery shop and cafe, where people can sit in a shared social space and enjoy a coffee. Sophie went in during the refurbishment of the bakery to paint the mural. Working with an interior designer to incorporate their chosen colour palette. They asked for something bright, contemporary and a fusion of abstract and botanical. This design has been made into a print, which is available from Sophie’s shop page.
ABSTRACT, BOTANICAL MURAL FOR THE FENCE BAR IN FARRINGDON, LONDON
The interior design company that commissioned Sophie Rae said she,
‘…came in at the very last minute to help us with a bar refurbishment in Farringdon producing 2 large murals on the walls. They both look amazing and add incredible colour and vibrancy to the space. The project was completed under tight time constraints and we are thrilled with the results. Looking forward to using Sophie on another project soon.”
The aim was to create a statement wall that was bright and colourful, in keeping with the rest of the interior design and could be completed whilst other contractors were in the space, sorting out electrics, sanding and painting the floor etc…
Sophie Rae put a design together which the client was immediately happy with. She communicated with the site foreman and had responsibility for locking up the building after she had finished work for the day.
